load classification group

A pavement load-bearing classification system indicating the load-bearing capability of the pavement without cracking or becoming permanently deformed. It is a development of the load classification number (LCN) system and is intended to take account of local variation by placing the pavement load-bearing capacity in a group, each of which embraces a ring of LCN values as shown in the table.
